HTML Designer: (New Delhi based)

The HTML designer will be responsible for creation and design of clients’ Websites/E-mailers according to specification.

Duties and Responsibilities

•         To design the website/mailers ensuring strong optimization.

·         Liaising closely with a customer or client at the design stage and finding the answers to questionsabout why the site is needed, who the target audience will be, etc.

·         Writing web pages in a combination of codes, such as HTML and XHTML, CSS, JavaScriptor using code-generating programs, such as Dreamweaver.

•         Testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions.

•         Fixing errors.

Skills/Attributes Required

•         Html, JavaScript, CSS knowledge.

•         Good working knowledge on software likes Photoshop CS4 and Dreamweaver.

•         Web / Graphical Design skills would be desirable.

•         A flexible attitude and open to work in a small team.

Duties:

Participate in all phases of UI development including assessment of base architecture/current software limitations, conceptualization, design, prototyping,  programming and testing. Perform complicated and difficult software design engineering assignments under general supervision; the assignments require a high degree of technical competence reflecting current state-of-the-art software development.  Will provide challenging work on JAVA/J2EE technologies as used in a world class organization.

 

Responsibilities:

-          Understand the JDA UI infrastructure; work on the latest UI framework for the JDA Inventory Optimization (IO) solution.

-          Contribute to the  Development and implementation of the UI functionality desired by the IO solution. Resource will help in prototyping and designing new functionality; will interface the Product Management and Functional Architect to translate the roadmap into reality

-          Will work with the core platform  to evaluate new technologies and provide feedback for new features desired for inclusion into the platform.

 

Technologies and other tools that will be used include: Java in a J2EE environment, Oracle, Source  Control tools such as Clearcase, Development experience in several flavors of UNIX and Windows platforms.

Qualification: Computer Science/Information Systems (B.S., B.E, B. Tech, M.S.) with good programming aptitude/skills              

Core Technologies/Skill Sets:

• Core JAVA, J2EE, XML/XSL /RMI
• Knowledge of PL/SQL/JDBC is an added advantage.
• Excellent object oriented analysis/design and core Java development skills.
• Working knowledge of web based user interface development using JavaScript, XML, XSL, JSP and Servlet on Weblogic or Websphere.
• Exposure to RMI, JNI, C++ a plus.
